Turkey

If someone were to ask me where I would want to be reborn, I'd shout Turkey no doubt.

Turkey was amazing. The history, the architecture, the people. I swear every street looked like it was taken straight out of a romance movie. Or maybe I'm just a hopeless romantic.

I don't remember where, but it was during sunset. We were on the European side of Istanbul (if I'm not mistaken) on our way back to the hotel. The sight I will never forget. It was the higher grounds of Turkey, where it wasn't flat and the hills were packed with old houses and mosques that silhouetted perfectly against the sky. Sunset--the skies were tinted with bright yellow and orange, splashed with pinks and a faded blue gradient welcoming the black night. It was breathtaking. But what made the scene unforgettable, were the huge Turkey flags that soared with the wind. They were everywhere. The sight looked so-- victorious.

But the highlight was hands down the view from Istanbul bridge that overlooked the two sides of Istanbul, separated by the Bosphorus river. We usually crossed there around dawn. Nothing can beat how the descending sun spread diamonds on the Bosphorus river. Shimmering as ferries passed the coastal lines. With the Aya Sofea standing proud-- it was a view like no other.

This is half of how beautiful it was.

My bad writing underrates how Istanbul really was. Sorry for the lack of pictures from my own. Maybe the next posts :)
